Trust Oldham's Playershare scheme is helping fund the wages of new Latics signing Cedric Evina.
The 19-year-old has agreed a deal for the rest of the season after being released by Arsenal.
Trust Oldham director Barry Owen, speaking on behalf of the Playershare sub-committee, has disclosed that substantial funding for the wages of Evina have been found for the remainder of the season.
Mr Owen said: "We have always said we would assist the club when the manager felt it was appropiate and this is one of those occasions.
"Cedric will strengthen the Latics squad and we are pleased to be associated with his signing.
